In 1971, Pierre Chapo capitalised on the success of his tables with converging lines to produce the second series of stools. The S 31 plays with the assembly of three converging legs, creating a solid, stable base that supports the full weight of a person on a small seat. The technical challenge contributes to the aesthetic appeal of the stool.
