A vo sü, a vo gió – it goes up, it goes down. In the workshop, our Alpine heritage lives on in a design practice where everything follows the law of its use completely.
Here, we develop fragments of a design language whose vocabulary grows with each design. In this way, we preserve unique techniques and make them newly tangible – together with manufacturers around the world whose wealth of resources is vast and whose skills are unique.

Studio Soius FRAGMENT works physically and with craftsmanship, influencing our architecture and interior design as well as the oeuvre of our objects.
An example: the glass mosaic floors by Carlo Scarpa, with which we work. Thousands of hand-cut smalti, made in almost every conceivable shade at Orsoni Venezia 1888, come together to form a fascinating pattern of fragments, no two of which are exactly alike. The process is breathtakingly complex, the technique almost forgotten, the result a composition that reveals the work of virtuoso hands in every single piece. That fascinates us.
