B17 Bookshelf

Chapo Création

CHF 7,496.00

In 1967, Pierre Chapo presented new creations at the Salon des Arts Ménagers, showcasing the B17 bookshelf for the first time. The B 17 is mounted on the wall, freeing up a considerable amount of floor space. The shelf, whose presence surprises with its discretion and elegance, is available in several versions with different lengths and heights.

As the name suggests, brackets typically support the shelves of a piece of furniture or the projecting parts of buildings. Pierre Chapo decided to disregard this universal law and modeled a bracket that blends into the upright, allowing the shelf to be firmly anchored under its support. The more weight on the shelf, the better its components integrate into the upright, creating a balance between gravity and the forces acting upon it.
