The Cloud Mirrors are a poetic exploration of the act of perception – particularly self-perception. Across cultures and centuries, the realm of the ideal has been imagined above us, veiled by clouds, elevated above the tangible. In mythology and art, deities emerge from clouds; in our childhood, we look for shapes and stories in their drifting forms; in modern imagery, clouds frame thought itself – speech bubbles, digital storage, conceptual imagination. In each case, clouds function as portals: thresholds between the real and the ideal, the visible and the intangible.
